You will join our international product development team working on solutions tailored to the African market. You’ll be responsible for enhancing and maintaining scalable fintech platforms, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Feature Development: Design, develop, and enhance core system features within legacy and modern platformsCollaboration: Work closely with architects and team members on system design, data models, and architectureBug Fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs in a timely mannerSprint Participation: Contribute to sprint planning and estimationCode Quality: Maintain high test coverage and write unit testsDocumentation: Create and maintain project documentationIssue Resolution: Respond to production and QA issues within agreed SLAs3+ years of experience in PHP developmentExperience with PHP 8.1 or higherPrior experience in fintech, lending, or payday loan systems is the preferable.Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony or Zend)Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and best practicesExperience with GIT, unit testing (PHPUnit), Docker, and CI/CD concepts, KubernetesExperience working with issue tracking tools like JiraProficiency in English (written and verbal)Nice to Have:SQL knowledge, particularly PostgreSQLExperience with query optimizationFamiliarity with Agile environmentsIdeal Candidate:You’re an independent and proactive developer who thrives in fast-paced environments.
