Peer-to-peer cultural exchanges, discussions and learning at America House Kyiv provide visitors with a seat in “America’s living room.” For more detailed information about America House Kyiv please visit .The America House Kyiv Events & Tech Assistant is responsible for technical support of a wide range of programs and offline, online and hybrid events that take place within America House Kyiv, including discussions on pressing policy issues, speaker series, workshops, movie nights, discussion clubs, art exhibits, and concerts. Tech and Innovations Assistant operates a broad range of equipment and supports event management coordination.Performs additional duties and tasks to meet the needs of the organization, team, or as assigned by manager.Are you the next member of our team?Your Background & Skills:Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience
Skills
  • Good English and Ukrainian.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Reliable team player.
  • Demonstrated customer-service orientation, skilled at handling multiple tasks and able to maintain a calm, friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Prior experience in technical fields is required.
  • Experience studying in the United States or holding an ECA alumnus/a status is an advantage.
  • Applicant must currently reside in Kyiv, Ukraine.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in Ukraine.

Your Daily Tasks:
  • Provide technical and logistical support to ensure smooth implementation of events of online, offline and hybrid formats.
  • Handle and operate a wide range of equipment including audio mixers, amplifiers, subwoofers, wireless and wired microphones, LCD projectors, interactive whiteboards, light units, synchronized translation equipment, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining Makerspace equipment, such as iMacs, 3D printers, Vinyl cutters, Thermo-press, sound equipment, etc.
  • Operate streaming platforms and tools, such as OBS, Zoom, MS Teams, etc., to provide the best quality virtual programs.
  • Assist team, offline visitors, online participants, and partners with using tech equipment and provide tech support when needed.
  • Ensure America House Kyiv equipment is always in presentable and working condition.
  • Assist in designing and design events that promote science and technology as well as participate in events design with the team.
  • Draft program-related documents and reports.
  • Operate with membership and booking software.
  • Assist in procuring tech equipment and services needed for the program implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
