They ensure that all laundry procedures are performed in accordance with company hygiene and safety standards, keeping fabrics in excellent condition. Laundry Operators work in shifts to maintain continuous 24-hour laundry operations onboard.Qualifications * Fluent in oral and written English (working & safety language of the Company)
Previous experience in laundry operations on cruise ships or in large hotels is preferred (minimum 12 months)
Basic Safety Training Certificate (including Swimming & Rowing)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of attention to detail and efficiency
Knowledge of fabric care, stain treatment, and laundry equipment is an asset
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Neat appearance and compliance with uniform standards
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Wash, dry, and iron all crew uniforms, guest garments, and linens
Operate and monitor laundry machinery: washing machines, dryers, tunnel washers, thermo-seal, and dry-cleaning machines
Ensure proper sorting of items and use of correct washing programs for different fabric types
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area
Follow all hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures
Perform regular checks of equipment and report malfunctions to the Laundry Supervisor
Assist in onboarding and training of new laundry team members
Participate in embarkation and disembarkation procedures as needed
Isolate and properly treat contaminated materials when necessary
Attend all laundry team meetings and follow up on assigned actions
