Опис вакансіїSummary of Assigned dutiesDuring deployment, the duty station may change, and duties may be modified, based upon the technical needs of the organization. * Provide timely, proactive support to the custom clearance for management of inbound supply chain activities.
  • Regularly monitor the status of incoming shipments and provide required information to GSC shipping team, WHO freight forwarders and suppliers.
  • Review shipping documents and pre-advice from suppliers and freights forwarders and suggest amendments and improvements if necessary.
  • Ensure shipping documents are correct and correspond to country importation and custom requirements.
  • Provide greenlights to ship the goods and monitor the progress of shipment from country of origin to destination.
  • Share timely information of incoming shipments with warehouse team to make them ready for receiving shipments.
  • Follow up with warehouse team for receiving reports and obtain signed copies of documents confirming good reception of items.
  • Follow up with warehouse team, GSC shipping team, transporters, and other internal and external stakeholders in case of discrepancies in shipments.
  • Manage archives related to inbound and update relevant tracking sheets and reporting tools when required.

Education QualificationsEssential: Completion of Secondary education is required.Desirable: University degree in development economics, business, administration, logistics, engineering, supply chain management or related area. Training or knowledge of information management systems and their application to supply management and monitoring.ExperienceEssential: At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management or supply logistics in humanitarian response operations, customs clearance or related area or A combination of a relevant Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in supply chain management or supply logistics in humanitarian response operations or related area in lieu of the 5 years of experience outlined.Desirable: Related experience with WHO, the UN system, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations or international nongovernmental organization work in the field of outbreaks and/or health emergency response.Use of Language SkillsEssential: Expert knowledge of English.
