Logistician/Security AdvisorRole: Logistician/Security Advisor Place of work: Ukraine, Poltava Terms: 12-month continuous and coordinated collaboration contract.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIESIn collaboration with and under the supervision of the MEDU Project Coordinator, AVSI Project Leader and MEDU Clinical Coordinator, the Logistics Advisor(s):
  • Drafts procurement plans;
  • In collaboration with the clinical coordinator(s), carries out the periodic updating of the inventory of drugs in community centers and monitors their proper use and storage;
  • Ensures the proper implementation of MEDU and donor purchasing procedures;
  • Ensures the proper management and storage of documents, ensuring their distribution to the team;
  • Ensures the management of IT devices necessary for the execution of project activities (PCs, printers, telephones, etc.);
  • Ensures the proper implementation and updating of the security plan;
  • In collaboration with the project coordinator(s), represents MEDU in local safety coordination's;
  • Administratively manages the transfer of assets to beneficiaries and project partners;
  • Makes agreements with local institutions and local health system (hospitals, clinics, outpatient clinics) and organizes needs analysis visits;
  • Manages relationships with local beneficiary health facilities and organizes procurement and distributions of the goods purchased;
  • Plans and coordinates travel of project staff, in collaboration with AVSI logistician.
