With a robust fleet of 550 power units, we specialize in a range of transportation services, including dry, temperature-control, hazmat, and over-dimensional freight.About the Role:The Planner is one of the most critical and strategic roles within our operations team. Planners are responsible for designing optimized routes, coordinating driver schedules, negotiating with brokers and customers, and maximizing profitability while minimizing cost and inefficiencies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build optimized routes for assigned trucks and drivers
Calculate earnings, rates, RPM, and projected expenses (fuel, tolls, trailer usage, etc.)
Negotiate and book loads with brokers and customers based on operational needs
Track available freight and market changes to align with company strategy
Communicate load plans to Driver Managers, CSRs, and drivers
Maintain accurate updates in the system for all loads and routes
Coordinate between departments (Safety, Billing, Sales, Shop) to ensure smooth operations
Provide backup options (Plan B / Plan C) for time-sensitive or high-risk loads
Adjust plans in real-time due to delays, breakdowns, or cancellations
Maintain consistent and professional communication with all stakeholders

Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Financial awareness of transportation costs and profit margins
Able to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
