- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of physical safety interventions, supported by relevant academic or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience leading physical safety trainings or group educational sessions.
- Skilled in coordinating and implementing risk mitigation strategies for vulnerable groups.
- Proven ability to design and deliver training programs.
- Familiar with adult learning principles and interactive training methods.
- Experience training on security and emergency protocols is a plus.
- Expertise in risk assessments, risk management, and SOP development from a holistic perspective.
- Experience mentoring at-risk individuals or organizations; Training of Trainers experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of journalism and media landscape in Ukraine; experience in high-risk or emergency settings preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt holistic training approaches combining psychosocial, physical, and digital safety.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Ukrainian and English.
- Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills; collaborative team experience.
- Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in Ukraine.
- Monitor physical safety situation of journalists and civil society in Ukraine and other Eastern Europe countries.
- Conduct trainings and mentor individuals and organizations on physical safety and risk management, including contextualized lesson creation.
- Communicate with media and CSOs to conduct physical safety needs assessments for media and civil society organizations.
- Develop and adapt safety and risk management training materials to meet participant needs.
- Collaborate with Center Manager and trainers to design region-specific training curricula for Ukraine and additional countries.
- Ensure training materials integrate SOPs and risk mitigation strategies through coordination with staff and consultants.
- Support development of digital and holistic SOPs for program operations.
- Provide emergency physical safety and security assistance to journalists and media organizations.
- Offer risk assessments and mitigation planning for at-risk individuals and organizations.
- Coordinate with Center Management on assessments, mitigation strategies, and participant follow-up.
- Monitor participant progress and share feedback with MEL coordinator and team.
- Report activities to Center Manager as needed.
- Participate in meetings and calls upon request.
- Other duties as assigned.
