- Drive Menu Innovation & Revenue Growth:
- Source unique, high-quality ingredients and products that enable new menu items, limited-time offerings, and seasonal specials, supporting a dynamic menu that keeps clients engaged and increases average order value (AOV).
- Identify and secure trending, functional, or premium ingredients (e.g., superfoods, specialty proteins, plant-based innovations) that differentiate Methodology and attract new client segments.
- Collaborate with culinary and marketing to develop new product lines, meal kits, bundles, and themed menus that encourage larger orders and higher spend per client.
- Expand our portfolio of ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat products, driving add-on purchases and incremental revenue.
- Supplier Network Expansion:
- Build and nurture relationships with suppliers offering specialty, local, or international ingredients that elevate our menu and client experience.
- Negotiate access to exclusive or limited-supply products, giving Methodology a competitive edge.
- Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization:
- Implement creative sourcing strategies that secure premium ingredients at favorable costs, balancing quality, innovation, and profitability.
- Evaluate how ingredient and product choices impact labor, COGS, and operational efficiency, working cross-functionally with the cofounder/COO to ensure all variables are considered in sourcing decisions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze sales data, client feedback, and market trends to identify high-impact sourcing opportunities that maximize menu performance and business results.
- Adjust sourcing strategies based on menu performance and evolving client demand.
- Uphold Uncompromising Quality:
- Ensure all sourcing decisions align with Methodology’s standards for ingredient integrity, food safety, and nutritional excellence.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Embrace a culture of constant change and continuous improvement, always seeking new ways to enhance our menu, sourcing processes, and client experience.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, ideally within food, beverage, or CPG.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and secure innovative ingredients and products that drive menu differentiation and revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience.
- Strategic thinker who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote setting.
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding client experience and business results through every sourcing decision.
- Collaborative and systems-minded, able to work closely with the cofounder/COO and other teams to ensure all sourcing variables—cost, labor, logistics, client experience—are optimized.
- This is a fully remote role and can be performed from anywhere in the world.
- You must be able to overlap with at least 4 hours of US business hours each workday to participate in meetings with our team and vendors. Most meetings are scheduled during US Pacific Time mornings.
- The remainder of your workday can be structured flexibly around your local time zone and productivity preferences, as long as deliverables and communication expectations are met.
- Standard working days are Monday through Friday, aligning with US business days.
