
Junior Consultant - Assistant for 3D Documentation of Cultural Heritage Sites

- Assist in conducting 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, and GNSS data collection at selected heritage sites;
- Support basic data processing tasks (e.g., point cloud alignment, cleaning, basic photogrammetry processing);
- Prepare visual documentation packages with supervision (e.g., site photos, scan logs, basic metadata);
- Participate in field missions, including operating or assisting with scanning, camera work, mark setup, and control point registration;
- Organize collected field data and deliver it in structured folders using UNESCO's template;
- Contribute to brief documentation reports for each scanned site (template will be provided);
- Ensure that data files and metadata are submitted at the end of each project;
- Deliver a monthly report summarizing at the completed projects, to be validated by the supervisor;
- Assist in logistics (equipment preparation, transport planning, site access coordination) where relevant.
- Support the preparation of possible explanatory and visibility materials, related to UNESCO work to support heritage sites' survey and documentation, as needed for training, visibility and/or awareness-raising activities
- Undertake any additional tasks, as instructed by the Supervisor and under overall supervision of the Chief of the Culture Unit.
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Applicants must not yet hold a Master's degree (final-year Bachelor's or current Master's students only).
- Completed at least one practical 3D documentation project (scanning or photogrammetry);
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: laser scanners, photogrammetry software, or GNSS receivers;
- Familiarity with file formats such as .e57, .las, .tiff, .jpg, .ply.
- Basic processing of point clouds or photogrammetry images;
- Understanding of field documentation workflows;
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
- Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork when required.
- Working knowledge of Ukrainian and English (written and spoken).
