- Own the back-end end-to-end: from API contract to production stability.
- Build with product mindset - understand why a feature matters, not just what it does.
- Engineer for scale - event-driven microservices on Kafka, production-grade from day one.

- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, API gateway patterns.
- Microservice architecture: resiliency, idempotency, circuit breaker, distributed systems.
- Kafka: delivery semantics, schema evolution, DLQ.
- PostgreSQL schema design and query optimisation; Hibernate / JPA / jOOQ.
- REST API + contract-first (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Production AKS + Kubernetes: deployments, incidents, rollbacks, node pool and autoscaling management.
- Terraform (module-based) and Helm for release management.
- Product-first: you care about outcomes, not tickets.
