About the job Sourcing / Production Manager (Chinese-speaking)Our client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, is looking for a proactive and experienced Sourcing / Production Manager (Chinese-speaking) to join their global operations team. This is a full-time remote position for someone who thrives on managing factory relationships, streamlining production processes, and optimizing costs.Are you fluent in Chinese and experienced in managing factory-side operations? Do you have a proven track record in sourcing, supplier compliance, and production reliability? If yes, this opportunity is for you!As a Sourcing / Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing factory-side operations from purchase order (PO) placement through production, quality control, and freight pickup. You will drive cost savings and ensure smooth production cycles with a strong focus on execution, accuracy, and accountability.About the Company:The company is a fast-growing DTC (direct-to-consumer) brand with a strong international presence. Known for delivering high-quality, family-oriented products, the brand emphasizes operational excellence, cost efficiency, and long-term supplier partnerships. As the company scales, it seeks a hands-on sourcing expert who can independently manage supplier-side operations while optimizing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).Key Responsibilities:Factory & Supplier Management

Manage and nurture factory relationships
Negotiate terms, MOQs, and pricing
Ensure on-time PO confirmations and production timelines

Cost & Production Optimization

Track raw material costs and currency exchange rates to time purchases optimally
Drive cost reduction strategies without compromising on quality
Maintain or improve unit economics

Quality Assurance

Manage sample approvals and conduct quality checks
Ensure order defect rate remains

1%Execution & Reporting

Provide weekly updates on PO status
Monthly reports on lead times and QC results
Track supplier KPIs quarterly (on-time delivery, loading, cost, quality)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Sourcing:

100% on-time PO confirmations
Minimum 2 qualified production lines per product

COGS Optimization:

3% annual COGS reduction
Quarterly documented negotiation wins
Consistent or improved unit economics

Quality & Timeliness:1% order defect rate * Timely and consistent reporting of production and factory performanceMust-Have Skills:

Proven experience in production, sourcing, or supply chain management (preferably in e-commerce)
Fluency in Chinese and English
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to independently manage suppliers across regions
High attention to detail and accountability

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!):

Experience working with international factories in China or Southeast Asia
Familiarity with tools for order tracking, ERP, or supply chain analytics
Background in manufacturing for DTC or consumer goods brands
