We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst to take a central role in a new external API development project for a leading mental health digital product aimed at the UK and US markets.As the vital link between our business and technology teams, you will be responsible for translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements. You will work closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while championing clarity and strong data governance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy & Vision: Support the Product Owner by contributing to the product vision. Liaise with key stakeholders, including the CEO and Head of Marketing, to define new features and translate them into a clear product roadmap.
  • Requirements Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs and translate them into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Technical Specification: Draft clear, testable functional specifications for the development team, ensuring technical feasibility. A strong technical background is essential for this API-focused project.
  • Agile & Project Coordination: Actively manage the product backlog, support the Project Manager with sprint planning, refinement, and other Scrum ceremonies. You will also identify and track dependencies across cross-functional teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain essential project documentation, including glossaries, data source mappings, and dashboards.
  • Analysis & Improvement: Identify gaps in existing functionality, analyze data to inform decision-making, and recommend opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience: 4-5+ years of experience as a Business or System Analyst.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in API requirements management.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Expertise with Jira and Confluence.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Core Competencies: A solid understanding of system engineering, business processes, and the ability to translate them into application requirements.
  • Nice to have: Experience in the Healthcare industry, particularly with mental health or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) products.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with UI/UX activities, including collaboration with designers and wireframing.
