Our client is the platform of choice for top Fortune 500 companies and organizations committed to workplace agility.RequirementsJob DescriptionWe are looking for a QA Manual Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions within a Ruby on Rails–based project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual testing of back-end services and APIs, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies and Agile development processes. This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and product owners to guarantee the reliability, performance, and scalability of delivered applications.Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with testing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and back-end services.
  • Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ability to validate data through SQL queries.
  • Experience in cross-browser and responsive UI testing is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
  • Good written and spoken English for communication with distributed teams.
  • Ability to work with time overlap until at least 3 PM EST.
Job responsibilitiesJob Responsibilities
  • Design, create, and maintain manual test cases for Ruby on Rails applications and APIs.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Validate data integrity and business logic through back-end testing and SQL queries.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Report, track, and verify defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
  • Contribute to test planning, risk analysis, and quality assurance strategy for the project.
  • Provide continuous feedback and improvements to QA processes and workflows.
  • Provide input into test strategy and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
