- 5-8 years of experience in a combination of the following fields: regulatory compliance, data governance, cybersecurity, or AI governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, ISO, and NIST Standards.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including security controls, vulnerability management, and common testing methodologies.
- A strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, model training, and deployment, with the ability to work closely with technical teams to implement governance and security controls.
- Familiarity with the purpose and function of common AI/ML tools and platforms, enabling effective collaboration with data scientists and engineers on risk management and compliance initiatives.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex systems and propose actionable solutions.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CIPP, CISA, or similar are a plus.
- Experience in a client-facing role or project management is highly desirable.
- Lead comprehensive risk assessments for AI and data-related projects, ensuring alignment with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and DORA.
- Design and implement AI governance frameworks that address ethical use, mitigate bias, and ensure transparency, thereby ensuring compliance with emerging AI regulations.
- Perform technical security assessments on AI models and data pipelines, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Assess and implement security controls and best practices for data pipelines and AI systems to protect sensitive information and prevent vulnerabilities.
- Map and analyze data flows to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and inform the design of secure and ethical AI systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including legal, engineering, and product) to embed compliance and security into the development lifecycle of AI solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and security best practices, guiding internal teams and potentially external clients.
- Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation for policies, procedures, and audit reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Stay abreast of evolving threats, technologies, and regulations in the fields of cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI to ensure continuous improvement of governance practices.
