The application is used by pilots in the cockpit and flight operations teams on the ground for pre-flight and post-flight reporting, integrated with flight plan providers, fuel systems, and loadsheet calculations. This is a small, agile team working on cutting-edge aviation technology with clients worldwide.About the RoleWe are looking for a Mid-Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be the primary QA specialist, working closely with developers, product management, and support team to ensure the quality of iOS application and backend systems. The role involves approximately 70% mobile app testing and 30% backend, portal, and integration testing.Currently, most testing is performed manually; however, client has an automation framework (C#/.NET with Appium/XCUITest) ready for expansion. A key part of this role is helping grow automated test coverage to reduce manual regression testing over time.Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for iOS application and backend services
- Work with the development team to expand test automation coverage using the existing
- C#/.NET framework or propose alternative solutions
- Perform regression testing before monthly app releases and continuous backend
- deployments
- Investigate bugs and issues, including database queries to trace and verify data
- Collaborate with developers and product management during planning, daily standups, etc.
- Maintain test documentation and reports in the test case management solution.
- Support the team in triaging and investigating support tickets when needed
- Contribute to improving QA processes and testing strategies
- Strong manual testing skills with a solid understanding of QA terminology (regression testing, test pyramid, bug lifecycle, etc.)
- Experience in testing mobile applications, preferably iOS
- Technical background with understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, status codes, frontend/backend architecture, databases, and cloud concepts
- Knowledge of any programming languages
- SQL knowledge for writing basic to intermediate queries (SELECT, JOINs, filtering)•
- Experience with test automation frameworks and the ability to read/write automated tests
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, GitHub, and test case management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate issues independently
- Good communication skills in English
- Available to work within ±1-2 hours of EU Central Time
- Experience with C# and .NET ecosystem
- Experience with Appium and/or XCUITest
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services
- ISTQB certification
- Aviation industry knowledge or experience
- iOS (MAUI .NET) for the mobile application
- C# / .NET for backend services and test automation
- Azure for cloud infrastructure
- Jira and GitHub Projects for project management
- Slack and Google Meet for communication
