Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.DRC is currently looking for a Cleaner in Sumy.About the jobA Cleaner ensures that the office and guest house premises are kept clean. Reports to the HR and Administration Team leader.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Wet cleaning of offices and common areas (corridors, kitchen, restrooms, conference room) as needed.
  • Dry cleaning and disinfection of surfaces in common areas.
  • Polishing of surfaces and furniture.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of glass, mirror, and ceramic surfaces.
  • Washing kitchen appliances and utensils (coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, dishes, etc., as needed).
  • Monitoring the availability of office supplies (liquid soap, detergents, etc.).
  • Collecting trash and replacing trash bags.
  • Seasonal window cleaning (twice a year or as needed).
  • General cleaning as needed.
  • Dusting switches, baseboards, and hardware.
  • Caring for plants in the office.
  • Wet cleaning of apartments: washing floors, polishing surfaces and furniture, ensuring the cleanliness of glass, mirror, and ceramic surfaces, washing and treating sanitary ware, washing kitchen appliances and utensils, collecting trash, seasonal window cleaning as needed.
  • Creating an atmosphere of cleanliness and friendliness.
About youTo be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. Moreover, we also expect the following:Required

We offer
  • Working hours: Part-time position (50% Full-Time Equivalent)
  • Contract length: probation period - 3 months with the possibility of extension depending on performance and availability of funding
