DescriptionAs part of the ongoing effort to modernize the embedded software in advanced scientific equipment, this sub-project focuses on improving the software and firmware update process for factory-configured devices.
Currently, updates are applied manually in a sequential manner, which limits scalability and increases operational effort. This initiative aims to design and implement a (semi-)automated update mechanism capable of performing parallel deployments across multiple units, significantly reducing installation time and improving consistency.
Key goals include minimizing manual intervention, ensuring reliable version control and compatibility checks, and enabling efficient, scalable rollouts within production environments. The resulting system will enhance maintainability and operational efficiency for high-value devices in complex manufacturing workflows.Requirements– 2+ years of professional experience using JavaScript/React– Intermediate strong or higher English level– Ability to work in agile software development environment, maintaining focus yet remaining flexible to requirements and design change– Proactive problem solving abilities– Quick learner and self contributing person– Strong communication skillsJob responsibilities
  • Implement new solutions into the current system with the refactoring and from scratch methods;
  • Preparing the technical documentation;
  • Participating in client meetings to understand business and user requirements and estimate tasks;
  • Collaborating closely with other engineers, product owners and testers to identify and solve challenging problems;
  • Taking part in defect investigation, bug fixing, troubleshooting;
