Our client is a top-tier Ukrainian law firm, renowned for representing clients' interests in landmark projects on both domestic and global levels. The firm's Intellectual Property team is market-recognized for its innovative strategies and a proven track record in high-stakes disputes.In response to the team's ongoing expansion, our client is seeking a talented and goal-oriented Associate to join their market-leading Intellectual Property Practice.Your Role & ImpactAs a key member of the IP team, you will handle high-profile cases for a diverse portfolio of Ukrainian and international clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping robust protection strategies for intangible assets, defending client interests in court, and building a solid legal foundation for their commercial success.Key Responsibilities include:Providing comprehensive legal counsel to Ukrainian and international clients across the full spectrum of IP matters, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and industrial designs.Representing clients' interests in complex IP disputes and enforcement actions, from pre-trial negotiations to litigation in all court instances.Developing and implementing bespoke strategies for the protection, enforcement, and monetization of clients' IP assets.Conducting in-depth IP due diligence and audits to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks.Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of IP-related agreements (e.g., license, assignment, franchising) to secure clients' commercial interests.Managing the full lifecycle of IP registration and protection, including trademarks (and their recognition as well-known), copyrights, domain names, trade secrets, and geographical indications.Developing and executing anti-counterfeiting strategies, including customs recordals, border control measures, and enforcement litigation.Proactively monitoring legislative and judicial trends, translating them into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for the team and clients.The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:Has 2+ years of relevant experience in an IP practice at a law firm or in-house.Holds a Ukrainian Bar Admission (advocate's certificate) or is in the final stages of obtaining it.Has professional working proficiency in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher), with a strong command of legal terminology.Has a proven track record of representing clients in IP litigation and disputes.Possesses exceptional legal writing and research skills, with demonstrated expertise in drafting a full range of IP-related documents (from complex agreements to procedural filings for court).Demonstrates superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Has the ability to articulate complex legal matters in terms of business impact and risk.Has strong client-facing skills, including direct communication, negotiation, and a commitment to excellent service.Shows a proactive, results-driven mindset with exceptional self-organizational skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.Company Offers:The opportunity to work on landmark cases for industry-leading clients and shape the future of IP law in Ukraine.A competitive, top-of-market salary and a transparent, ransparent bonus system.A clear and structured career path.
