Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.DRC is currently looking for a temporary IT Assistant to support our team in Kyiv. If you're ready for this challenge, read the details below!About the jobUnder the technical supervision of the IT Specialist, the IT assistant will provide IT support to all DRC employees. As a key member of the IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and network, allowing our staff to focus on their core work of improving lives and making a positive impact.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Provide technical support to DRC staff.
Set up and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Manage user accounts, including password resets, MFA setup, and access controls.
Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with local area networks (LAN), wireless networks (Wi-Fi), and virtual private networks (VPN).
Perform system maintenance: updates, virus scans, backups.
Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, licenses, and user requests.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams on IT inventory and asset tracking.
Create user guides and conduct IT training sessions for staff.

About youTo be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration. Moreover, we also expect the following:Required

Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
English proficiency - pre-intermediate.
Understanding of and experience in supporting personal computers, servers, and printing hardware.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, routers, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
Experience with M365 or other office software suites.
Understanding of Windows-based systems, with experience in supporting and configuring Windows OS.

Desirable

Experience working in a non-governmental organization.

We offer

Contract length: Fixed-term employment contract for the period of absence of the main employee with a probationary period of 3 months.
Band: I - nonmanagement.
Designation of Duty Station: Kyiv.
Start date: as soon as possible.
